We got ourselves a bigger truck (my wife hates) but it afforded us more room and easier loading of our gear. Then we stole the tent camper my parents had taken my brothers and I camping all those years ago in. My father had taken great care of it. For a 1974 Pop Upit was in great shape!! While on this trip my wife declared she loved tent camping more than tent camper camping and I found inspiration. Camping next to us was a Grandfather and his two grandchildren and he had a box similar to this one only smaller:

We needed something like this on a “Tim the Tool Man Taylor” type set up. It needed to be on a trailer and set up with a place for everything and everything in a place. I am a pretty good carpenter and even though I had a vision I did not posses the skills to come up with the plans it would take to build such a camping beast. I searched the internet high and low for weeks and weeks. FINALLY I stumbled across a set of plans being sold by a man named Larry. I bought the plans and started building as fast as I could.
As the story goes I loved and believed in the product so much that I finally convinced Larry to sell me the company.
